Branding + Interior Design
Emerging profoundly from Emirati traditions and culture, "Seven Spices" restaurant is the true manifestation of the Emirates culture and its cuisine. The concept was derived from lucky number “Seven” and its correlation to Islam, seven heavens, seven earths, and seven Emirates.
The branding logotype is in the shape of a heptagon representing each Emirate uniquely, resembling a coin with an emblem of crossing spoon and fork forming a hidden Indian numeral “seven”. The interior was done in the same spirit as the brand, embellishing every aspect of the design and making a myriad of spices-inspired colors, crazy patterns and Sadu motifs.
The most significant design elements is a Sadu mural that spread throughout the shop covering all the walls depicting the founding father of the Emirates, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the history of the United Arab Emirates. Starting from oil discovery, to the boost of civilisation and progress that emerged after the finding of oil, to the current state and the future prosperous future of the Emirates. Furthermore to the mural, the motifs extends to the ceiling to make an interpretation of the traditional “chandal” which enhances being in an Emirati home, enjoying an authentic Emirati food.
