Branding + Interiors
A group of volunteer members from Kuwait Science Club were working on a very exciting project, to build and operate the middle-east's first radio telescope facility. A radio telescope is different from the nearby optical Al-Ojairi telescope in that it receives and processes low frequency radio waves emitted by celestial objects rather than higher frequency light waves, thus it can perform perfectly in a light-polluted area.
Being astronomy geeks ourselves, we couldn't help not being part of this effort and decided to volunteer with our work and contribute to the observatory by creating their logo identity and stationery sets. When told they were allocated a neglected single-storey building near Al-Ojairi Observatory, we proposed to implement the branding into the space and renovate the interior to house their lab headquarters in addition to a classroom/meeting room and a small exhibition on radio observation preceded by a spacious lobby to recieve dignitaries, students and astronomy enthusiasts.
